Wexford Anglers took 6 of the top ten spots in the 'Irish Shore League' last Sunday (1st May), the final leg of which was held in Co. Kerry.
The event was won overall by Wexford SAC's Martin Howlin, tailed closely by Kilmore clubmembers James Ryan in third place and Joe Duggan in sixth place.
Menapia SAC also managed to hold 3 of the top ten spots, with Joe Carley securing 5th place - He was followed by the club's John Watchorn in 8th and James Gordon bringing home the triple in 9th.
Menapia SAC members seem to be outfishing everyone else lately, with several successes so far this year on the match angling circuit.
The Easter Festival competition saw clubmembers James Gordon and John Watchorn each winning their respective zones, with Joe Carley securing second in his zone.
Fishing on unfamiliar ground can bring its own problems to match anglers, however no-one seems to be a match to date for the Menapia guys, who are well prepared and never too far away from the top!
