Most fish are being landed at dusk or just into darkness and most are falling to fresh Peeler Crab or Mackrel on a high tide.

"Its nice to get out in between competitions and touch up on our skills" said Menapia SAC member Paul Roche (Paul, pictured with a 35lb Tope taken last Saturday night on a South Wexford beach).
"A few of us met up and had a great nights fishing" he said. "We use SEBS bait, it's 'Top Notch" he added.
It was nearly a costly night for Paul, after the Tope decided to retreat to Wales and bring Paul's Rod, Reel & stand with him - however paul's quick reaction and assistance from fellow anglers made sure he didn't get away and pauls gear remained on the beach, albeit a bit damaged...
A fine fish was landed - a quick photo and the Tope was put back to continue his journey to Fishguard!!

(Club member Frank Flanagan, also on a Co. Wexford Beach returns a 10lb Smoothound last night, to fight another day).
